After growing up surrounded by the sounds that were being cooked up on the underground clubs in Germany, three young friends decided it was time to get into action and put out some tunes. Inspiration and innovation were their premise. And so, in 2004, The Electric Dog was born. A group formed by b.orange, paluka and yellowman57 who, in very little time, took cities like London, Berlin, Leipzig, Munich and Stuttgart by storm with their deep dynamic house grooves with acid basslines and disco flavours. Little by little, the list of collaborations grew longer and names like Dj Koze, Jennifer Cardini, Swayzak, Kate Wax and Matias Aguayo appeared. The number of collectives, promoters, clubs and fans attracted by the sound that these three Germans were coming up with also grew exponentially. Today, they’re back with more gusto than ever and are ready to heat things up with their explosive mix of electronic sounds and live instruments with a tinge of the cold futurism of Detroit, a splash of acid lines from Chicago and a touch of atmospheric deep groove from the New York and New Jersey scene. The perfect recipe to whet your appetite.
In April, this is only a chance to hear a real Deephouse sound in Bangkok.
For this month’s session, we will invite The Electric Dog from Germany.
4 DJs playing tunes from Detroit, Chicago, Berlin, Tokyo, Hokkaido, and other places where good music is born.
